AFF Course
(Accelerated Freefall)

Altitude Academy Logo.png

AFF intensive - From your first skydive to A licence.

The AFF course will (Weather permitting) take students from the first day in the classroom to being a qualified A-Licence skydiver in around 7 days of jumping.

Cost of the course: £2,405

This includes groundschool and 18 jumps including all training and equipment hire. Groundschool is one day in the classroom where you’ll learn about the equipment, the freefall stable body position, how to deploy, fly and land your parachute and all emergency procedures. The 18 jumps consists of 8 levels of the AFF course and 10 consolidation jumps. The course cost includes one attempt at each level. Any levels that need to be repeated will cost extra.
The first three levels are with 2 instructors then level 4-7 is with 1 instructor, Level 8 is a solo ‘hop n pop’ (simulated emergency exit where you deploy your parachute within 10 seconds of exit). The consolidation jumps are for you to practice what you’ve learned and to get more confident jumping on your own whilst still under instructor supervision.

The course requires an average to good level of health/fitness, maximum weight of 95kg and is open to anyone aged 16 to 55 (Anyone 50 or over requires assessment at Skydive Spain by the chief instructor, anyone below 18 will need a parent or guardian present.)

The course cost does not include flights, accommodation, transport or food. We usually arrange sharing lifts and accommodation to cut costs. You will also need to get insurance - There is a compulsory British Skydiving Membership (insurance) that covers you for the minimum third party liability but you’ll need to get a travel insurance that covers skydiving too (This is not compulsory but we require it for our courses to eliminate any major problems in case it’s needed). I can give you more info as necessary...

Compulsory paperwork:
* BS Membership (You can do the course with a temporary membership but you will need to upgrade to full membership to be able to apply for the A licence) - https://britishskydiving.org/story/membershipgrade.php
